A Rainy Sunday

Today's card is the one I promised in yesterday's post. It is the pop-up card technique that I learned at my stamp club. I paper-pieced the penguin and cupcake. This was done with the new rubber stamps from Whimsie Doodles.

The penguin section slides down inside the card so that it fits into an envelope. Neat, huh?

Day 17 Influential People:
Sharon Warren is a teacher I worked with in Wilson County. She is one of the most conscientious people with whom I have had the privilege to work. She is hard-working, wise, creative, and loyal. Sharon truly wants children to learn to read, and in turn, read to learn. Sharon taught me a great deal. The time I spent with her made me a better teacher and a better person.
Jo Anne Harrell was the best supervisor I had during my career in education.

Great card. I've seen these but have never tried one. The penguin is too cute.
