Nonita Griffin, my aunt, gave me money for Fair Day to take Ricky to the fair. I remember having so much fun. 'Aunt Shortie' had an infectious laugh that was more of a giggle. My momma and Aunt Shortie were good friends, and when we went shopping in Jonesboro Aunt Shortie had to drive because my momma couldn't parallel park. I still think that is funny. Like Aunt Cora Mae and Momma, Aunt Shortie was a good cook. I loved her dearly.
