Today I want to share a gift Mike helped me make for a friend. He made the wooden stand, and I decorated the calendar part. The calendar is from Taylored Expressions. I left the stand plain so that my friend could paint it to match her scrap room if she decided to. (The flower is just for photographing purposes.) Since it is plain she can add paper, rub ons, bling, or flowers to match her room. On each calendar page I stamped a Magnolia image. The calendar pages are held by 6x6 (scrapbook) page protectors.
Here is a card I created for a friend who is the grandmother to two little boys. I used a Mo's image.
As many of you already know, I suffer from bouts of depression. Sometimes the depression is quite deep. On those days all I want to do is sleep and avoid the world. I attempt to fight the depression by creating and giving to others. Hopefully by sharing I can bring joy to others while I strive to find happiness for me.

Hi Linda,
I didn't know about your depression. Wish I had before now.
Great gifts you have made. I adore the calendar and also wish I could see each month. Love the doodling you have done and of course your Maggie image is coloured excellently.
Your Mo image is wonderful also.Beautiful card. I know your friend is going to love it.
Big hugs, Candy
I absolutely love your calendar stand (your hubby did a fabulous job)and the calendar itself is so darn cute. Can you please tell me what kind of plastic folder you used...it's awesome. Your grandmother card is beautifully coloured.
Hiya Linda. These are beautiful creations. Love the calendar and the stand hubby made is perfect for it. I'm sure your friend is going to love the gorgeous card you made for her. It's such a special treat to receive a card made with love. Take it day by day hun and find something good each day that makes you smile. Big Hugs, Maria
Hi Linda! These gifts are definitely a treat for the eye and for the heart. Love both of them and the second Mo image is simply gorgeous!
Sorry to hear about your depression sweetie! I used to feel down and avoid teh world outside a few years back before I had my little one. After 6 years of marriage and a continuous state of depression I thought my only escape would be to try and enjoy every moment as it is. Because one always has something to yearn for. Now that I have the baby I think just the same. People are always unsatisfied and yearn for something, this is the reason they feel low and unhappy. If only we could realize that everything we get - a smile, the scent of a flower, the beautiful spring sky- are all gifts from God and we are His guests here and should be thankful for everything he gives us for free.
Sorry for being so meditative, swetie, I wanted to cheer you up and wish you felt better and more open to enjoy the beauties of life!
Hugs, Iulia
This gift is utterly adorable. I love that calendar holder, and the card for a Grandmothers is just perfect.

I second that-Perfect! Your calendar stand/page is to die for! Tell hubby that he wins brownie points for that one. I plan on making these for Christmas but using recipe pages instead of calendar pages. Thanks for the inspiration!
The calendar stand is sooo cute I just had to order one for myself. Thanks for the tip!

Linda,
I really liked your calendars and the stand. I was wondering if your husband would be willing to share his dimensions for the calendar stand. I want to make these as gifts for Christmas. My husband is willing to make them for me, and we have worked out some measurements, but wanted to see if we could get his measurements to see if we are off in any way. You can email me at drkuhn@att.net.
Thanks,
Dawn
