I love primitive antiques, quilts, and enamelware. When you visit our house you will find enamelware hanging on the walls, atop the cabinets, and in my craftroom. Here is an enamel cup I decorated for the holidays. Usually it sits on a shelf in my craft room holding a pair of red framed glasses I can't bear to part with.
I used Cricut red vinyl and Quickutz dies to decorate this cup. I added Stickles to the bulbs for a bit of bling. For the holidays it will hold a small candle. After the holidays I'll simply peel the vinyl off the cup. Easy peasy! I plan to enter this in the PaperCubed challenge HERE.

Borrowing an Idea (CASE)
Scrapbookers and cardmakers have been borrowing ideas from each other for years. In fact, many blogs, including mine, encourage others to take the ideas and run with them. Usually the stipulation is to give credit to the person you borrowed from; however, some bloggers ask that you not submit your creations to magazines. When you borrow an idea, be sure to check if the blogger has posted limitations on using their ideas.
So now you are asking why did I start this blog about borrowing ideas? Well......
Today's Your Next Stamp Challenge #30 is to CASE a YNS Design Team member. What is CASE?
CASE is an acronym for Copy And Share Everything. The idea is that you choose a specific piece of work and take inspiration from it. You can be very literal when CASEing and create an exact copy of the work you have chosen as inspiration. Alternatively, you can use the work you have chosen to copy as a starting point, lifting just one or two elements - e.g. the general style of the piece, or perhaps a colour.
For your YNS CASE creations, we would like you to....
1. Choose a YNS DT member (they are listed on the side of my blog)
2. Visit their blog
3. Pick one of their creations (past or present - any creation) that inspires you, and...
4. ...CASE it!
You can read more about the challenge HERE, which includes the DT CASE samples, information about the prizes, and the link to post your creation.
Here is my CASE.
Happy Snow Day Tea Time Fhiona
Here is my inspiration from Kerri.

I am honored to discover that Maureen CASEd one of my cards. What a compliment! Thanks Maureen!
I look forward to seeing your creations! Thanks for stopping by. LC

I'm Back!
I had the best visit with my BFF. We shopped, watched movies, ate, crafted, played with her little boys, visited her family members, ate some more, shopped some more, watched reality tv...did I mention we ate and shopped!! I didn't take many pictures, but here is one I want to share.
This is her grandson, Mason, playing in the jelly cupboard. Isn't he a doll?! He was so much fun!
I also visited with the older boys, Alex and Brandon. I watched Brandon climb trees.
Here is a card I am going to mail to the older boys on Monday.
The image is from Your Next Stamp. It is called 'Best Buds'.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
It's Whimsie Wednesday and brrrr! The Whimsie Doodles Wednesday Challenge is 'Let It Snow'. Doodle-licious Diva, Sheri, has challenged us to create a card with snow. You can find details about the challenge HERE. I also am entering this in Cute Card Thursday #140 using Challenge #138 (anything goes) and Just Us Girls #61 (3-D embellishment).
With the new Whimsie Doodles images, you will have no difficulty in finding an image that will fit into a snowy scene. There is Leah dressed in her winter boots, Koale dressed in a festive sweater, and Snow People ready for the holidays. You can purchase the digital images HERE.
Here is my 'Let It Snow' challenge card with Toque Koale. (BTW, if you are like me and don't know what a toque is, here is Webster's definition..."a small, round, close-fitting hat, with or without a brim".)

Oldies But Goodies
This is one of the first blogs I discovered when I began stamping a couple of years ago.
If you have the time read her blog post entitled "Two-Cents Worth". What are your thoughts on the subject?
Amy
Here is a tutorial on using Nestabilities. Rach instructs on how to leave part of the stamped image outside of the cut shape. This technique creates interesting cards.
Rach
Do you own a 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' and have never used it? Have you forgotten how to use it? Have you seen one in a catalog or at a craft store and wondered "what is that thing for"? Here is a tutorial on using a "Stamp-a-ma-jig" and masking.

Coloring Tutorial
Melyssa, owner and designer of Whimsie Doodles, created an awesome tutorial for coloring hair and skin.
Along with the tutorial she produced a sheet of 'Doodle heads' for you to practice on. You can see the tutorial HERE. I have found the tutorial to be very helpful. If you like the tutorial please leave a comment for Melyssa so she will know she's appreciated. Thanks. LC

Leftovers and Scraps
Good Morning! Did you change your clocks? Luckily for me, Mike took care of that at our house.
You might remember back in mid-October I shared some 'Happy Harvest' cards I made using Papertrey Ink's Vintage Picnic Basket stamp set. In that post I shared with you my inspiration for those cards. You can read about them HERE.
This week as I was sifting through scraps of paper attempting to clean off my desk, I came across several of the picnic basket images I had prepared for the cards. This is what I decided to make with the leftovers....a mini journal.
I covered a small notebook with scraps of paper and added one of the card fronts I had made. I sprayed a clothespin with Glimmer Mist and adhered paper to it. The ribbon was some I had sprayed with Glimmer Mist for the cards. I added a button with baker's twine to the clothespin. Easy peasy! I thought this made a great little notebook for jotting down blessings, thoughts, and ideas.

Simplicity
I made three of the these cards this week using an older Stampin' Up set. These are not as elaborate as some I make, but I really like the simplicity of them. Without buttons, ribbons, and Glossy Accents these cards have a simple country look to them.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a good weekend and don't forget to 'fall back'! LC

November Already?
Is it just me, or has the year flown by for you also? There are only 24 days until Thanksgiving, and Christmas is right around the corner. Have you started your Christmas shopping?
Using an idea I found on Mish Mash I created holiday planners to give as early Christmas presents. Inside each planner there is a memo pad. The image I chose to use for my planners is the snowman from Whimsie Doodles Snowman Soup.

Recipe for the planners:
Whimsie Doodles snowman image
Papertrey Ink cardstock vintage cream and kraft
My Mind's Eye designer paper
Bazzill cardstock
Nestabilities
Copics markers
Stickles
buttons
Martha Stewart baker's twine
SU border punch
Papertrey Ink memo pads
These were not difficult to create. I hope you find the time to make a couple for yourself and a friend or two.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week! LC
